Dover Elementary School Title I Schoolwide Program
Dover Elementary School is a Title I schoolwide school. Effective schoolwide programs are about ensuring high levels of academic success for all students. A schoolwide program is built on reform strategies rather than separate, add-on services. The focus of a schoolwide program is to research programs that improve instruction in every aspect of the students’ school experience. Opportunities are provided for all children to meet the state’s proficient and advanced levels of student performance. Instruction is provided by highly qualified professional staff. Professional development opportunities which focus on researched best practices are provided for teachers, educational assistants, and other staff. Schoolwide programs have flexibility in the use of federal funds and allows for shared decision making. The Title I schoolwide program at Dover Elementary fosters both equity and excellence.
