Ways to Be
At North Stewart Elementary we believe all members of our school should Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. Posters are displayed on classroom and cafeteria walls that help students understand what the Three B's look and sound like. In most cases students have created the posters themselves.

Classroom posters remind students of the "3 B's of NSE:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible

NSES PBS Ticket Trade
Tickets are given to students as a reward for positive behavior. They are given by the faculty, staff, and bus drivers. Bus drivers distribute bus bucks which are equivalent to one ticket and may be exchanged in the school office for a Good Behavior Bus Safety Pencil. The name of students who receive bus bucks are announced on the intercom each morning.
Students are expected to follow the three rules: Be Prepared, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. The school wide expectations/bus expectations for these three rules are taught at the beginning of each school year. Booster training occurs as needed depending on the areas showing most problems.
Students collect and save tickets to exchange for prizes. Ticket trade occurs at the discretion of each teacher.
Items students may exchange tickets for:
□ Movie (50 tickets) □ Ice Cream (50 tickets) □ Homework Passes or Outside Time (25-50 tickets) □ Ticket Cart (ranges from 10-100 tickets) and includes: o Pencils o Poppers o Stickers o Binders o Calendars o Posters, etc.
