Discipline Policy

 

 All children come to school with different experiences.  Each child in our room has the right to a safe and secure education.  Therefore we have classroom and school rules.

 

Classroom Rules:

 

School Rules:

·   Keep hands and feet to yourself

·   Follow directions.

·   Listen when the teacher is talking

 

·    Be Respectful

·    Be Responsible

·    Be Prepared

 

Children will be given rewards for following the rules. Some of these rewards are: tickets, treasure chest, praise, stickers, positive notes home, etc.

We use a color-coded card system for discipline. Students pull a card for each act of misbehavior. Consequences for will be as follows*:

 

First Offense:

Green Card

Warning

Second Offense:

Yellow Card

Lose 15 Minutes Recess

Third Offense:

Blue Card

Lose All Recess

Fourth Offense:

Red Card

Note Sent Home

Fifth Offense:

All Cards Pulled

Visit Principal

* In instances of severe behavior the student will be sent directly to the office.
