Announcements....

From the Principal:

We had a really good October and look forward to an even better November.

e are partnering with CEMC to do a fall food drive.  This will be a one week activity.  Our goal is 1,000 items.  We think we can do it because we have 630 students.  If we complete our mission, we will have a big popsicle party on the playground.  All the food items will remain in Stewart County.  The items will be distributed to the Good Samaritans, the VFW and local churches, who have families they help.

Students are reminded you can work on the Study Island computer program from your home.

Dover Elementary is working with the Stewart County Athletic Association regarding Jr. Pro basketball.  Tryouts will be in our gym on Saturday, November 8th.

Good luck SCHS in your football playoff game on November 7.

Breakfast:

If students would like to eat breakfast in the cafeteria, then they need to be at school no later than 7:30 because all students need to be in their classrooms at 7:45.

Car Rider Schedule in the morning:

Car-riders should be dropped off at the side door from 7:10-7:45.  We are trying to keep the front of the building as clear of vehicles as possible.  These are expanded times over last year.  After the 7:45 bell, the student is tardy and will have to come into the office and get a tardy slip.

Safety Concern:

All parents need to check in at the office as they enter the building.

Car Rider Schedule in the afternoon-

2:35- Students should be picked up at the car rider side door.  Please pick up the student from 2:35-3:00.

PTCO News:

Box Tops for Education is something we continue to promote.  We want to get as many Box Tops as possible.  Box Tops can be found on many products from cereal to zip lock bags, Campbell Soup proof of purchase and Tyson A+ labels.  Please keep sending in the Box Top Labels.  Go to boxtops4education.com to see all the new products that have labels.
