How do I express the whole of something or all or every?
You use "tout(e)" with a definite article le, la, and l' to express "the whole." You use "tous" or "toutes" with les to express "all" or "every."
What is a demonstrative adjective?
A demonstrative adjective points out people and things. The English demonstrative adjectives are "this", "that", "these", and "those." Review the French equivalents on page 303 of the red book.

What do the words conjugated and infinitive mean?
Think of a verb, "to go" for example. "to go" is in its infinitve because 1. it has the preposition "to" in front of it.2. It does not yet have a suject attached to it, "I" for example. Conjugated or conjugation simply means you have taken a verb and assigned it a subject or subject pronoun. She is going for example.
What is the difference between a direct and indirect object?
A direct object recieves the action of a verb. The question "what" or "who(m)" is answered. John threw the ball An indirect object precedes the direct object and tells to whom or for whom the action of the verb is done and who is receiving the direct object. John threw the ball to him.
What are the ways to make a sentence negative in French?
There are many ways in French to make a sentence negative. These are the most common: Ne + Pas= not, Ne + plus= no longer, ne + rien= nothing, ne + personne= no one or nobody, and ne + jamais=never
What is an object pronoun?
An object pronoun tells to whom the action is directed towards. Object prouns in French come before the verb they are linked to. For example, He talks to me would be written in French: Il(he) me(to me) parle(talks).
