More Important Information
Take Home Folders:
Each Friday, I will send a folder home with your
child. You will find a newsletter for the coming week in the left pocket, which
will contain information about the upcoming week, and any announcements or
reminders that might be necessary. The folder will also contain class work and
any notes from the office.
Book Orders:
I will send a book order home about once a
month. You are certainly under no obligation to make a purchase, but it is an
inexpensive way to increase your child’s library. Please make checks payable to
the book company (usually Scholastic) when ordering. You can also order online
from the Scholastic Book Orders Link on my Homepage.
Early Dismissal:
Children are dismissed at 2:50 p.m. If your child needs to leave
early for any reason (doctor's appointment, dentist, etc.) you are required to
check him/her out from the office. The office will then call down to my room and
I will help your child get his/her things together. At that time, I will send
your child up to the office, ready to go. This keeps disruptions to routine to
a minimum. I cannot, under ANY circumstance,
release students from my classroom before 2:50 p.m. unless the office tells me
to do so. Please understand that this is school policy and is in place for
the protection of the children.
Lunch Money:
Please send lunch money in an envelope labeled
with your child’s name and my name. You can send it in your child’s folder each
Monday.
Bus/Car Rider Notes:
If there is a change in how your child will leave
school, please contact the office as soon as possible. We CAN NOT allow your
child to ride a different bus, or be picked up in the car rider line by anyone
not listed on the emergency card, without a note or phone call. Please
understand that this policy is for your child’s safety.
Visitor's Passes:
Please remember that any time you visit the
school, you have to sign in at the office.
Birthdays:
We enjoy celebrating each child's birthday.
Parents are welcome to send in a special snack (such as cupcakes) on the day their child's birthday
is celebrated.
