5th Grade Teachers Say Goodbye

Dear Fifth Grade Students,

The school year is almost over, and “If you’re happy, and you know it, clap your hands!” Clap! Clap! (Onomatopoeia) or should we sing, “The subject tells who does it or who was it.”

With this fifth grade class, each day was like a present for me. (Simile) I did not know what I was going to get, but it was always a wonderful surprise. You are a splendid bunch of students! If every class was as fabulous as you are, I know that I could teach for a billion years! (Hyperbole)

I truly hope that middle school is marvelous, and that you make many magnificent memories there. (Alliteration) Continue to write often, make good choices, and celebrate each day!

Here are just a few things to remember.

·         Remember Yankee Doodle and “About, above, across, after…”

·         Remember to put “me” where “me” belongs and “I” where “I” belongs. “Me” is sometimes

naughty and goes where “I” should go.

Remember that I believe in you!

             AND LAST OF ALL…

Remember that the rest is still "Unwritten" !!!!!!!!!!!

Love to all of my children,   Mrs. Templon

Dear Fifth Graders,

THANK YOU for making this year one of the best of my teaching career.  You made coming to work each day fun and rewarding because of your positive attitude and your good behavior.  I hope you enjoy Middle School.  I know the Middle School teachers will enjoy you.  You are a great group and I will really miss you next year.

Love Ya!  Ms. Betsy

This year’s fifth Grade has been an absolutely marvelous group of students. I know they are going to do well next year at the middle school, but I’m also sure that I am going to miss them greatly.

Hope all 5th graders enjoyed their year. I wish you all well as you make your transition to middle school next year. You’ve been a great class! Good Luck!

Mr. Page

From your School Counselor

You have been a great class.  I wish you the best in your future academic endeavors and social relationships.  Be ‘friendly’ and smile at everyone.  You are no better than anyone else and no one else is better than you.  Everyone deserves to be treated with respect.  Remember to use your “I” messages and active listening skills to solve conflicts peacefully.  Always say no to any person or situation that makes you feel uncomfortable.

Newspaper staff – I have enjoyed working with you and look forward to seeing your names in the news for all your accomplishments.

Come see me when you can!  Ms. Richardson
