Mrs. Grasty's
Class Policies
Students are expected to abide by the following rules:
- Be prepared for class. Bring pencil, binder, paper,
textbook, assignment, and all other required materials to class. Have
pencils sharpened at the beginning of class before the tardy bell. Do not
expect to go to your locker after the bell rings. NOTE: PENS
are NOT allowed in this class. If you choose to use a pen, a ZERO
will be given for any assignment picked up and graded.
- Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings
. Tardiness will not
be tolerated. Attempt to be in your seat when the bell rings. Roaming the
classroom and standing at the door before the bell rings is not allowed.
- Show appropriate classroom behavior
. Examples of inappropriate
behavior: talking while the teacher is lecturing; talking when given an
assignment; sleeping in class; not staying in your assigned seat; personal
grooming; throwing anything; laughing excessively; horse playing; etc. Be
willing to work with nothing distracting the learning process for the entire
class period.
- Be respectful to yourself, others, and your school
. Be courteous
to the teacher and your classmates. Respect the privacy of the teacher and
other students. Do not sit at the teacher’s desk, or bother anything on the
desk. Raise your hand before speaking and listen while others are speaking.
- Be responsible for yourself
. If absent, you are responsible for
making up your work in the same amount of time that you missed. Late papers
will not be accepted unless the teacher feels there is sufficient cause.
- No eating or drinking in class
.
- Students are to use the restroom before the class starts
.
- Follow all other rules of conduct for the school
.
*Parents will be notified and a record will be kept for students
who fail to comply with the class policies.
**Administrative intervention may also occur.
